Traffic Safe-TE3

As neighbors and friends, Meadowbrook Subdivision Residents would like to ask for your help. Many of you know we have a problem on our streets, mainly excessive speed. In an attempt to resolve these traffic safety issues and make our neighborhood a safer place to live, we have joined forces with the City of Farmington Hills and are participating in the TRAFFIC SAFE-TE³ PROGRAM (Traffic Safety Awareness for Everyone Through Education, Enforcement and Engineering.)

With the help of the City, we have been monitoring the speed of traffic on our streets. The legal speed limit is 25 MPH. The 85th percentile speed was found to be 33 MPH in our speed study. WE NEED YOUR HELP!

PLEASE OBEY THE 25 MPH SPEED LIMIT!

This is a subdivision problem that can only be corrected by your help!

As the Homeowners Association Board and as concerned residents, we ask for your support and cooperation making our streets safe, especially for the children.

As Drivers let's:

  • Obey or drive below the speed limit
  • Reduce speeds around corners, near parked vehicles and pedestrians
  • Yield to pedestrians

As Parents let's:

  • Discourage playing in the road
  • Make sure our kids know the "Rules of the Road"
  • Reinforce "Stop, Look and Listen"

As Friends and Neighbors let's:

  • Be communicators and supporters of this program
  • Be committed to making our neighborhood streets safe for everyone

We truly want to make ALL our neighborhoods a safe place to live. Please give us your support - DRIVE 25 MPH IN ALL SUBDIVISIONS!

Sincerely,

The Meadowbrook Hills Homeowners Association

P.S. Please take the time to share this information with other family members as well as friends or others who drive in the Meadowbrook Subdivisions.
